Voting Hotline

Call our voting hotline at (346) 970-1019 if you have questions about finding your early voting location or your polling place on Election Day.

Voting by Mail

Mail ballots may be postmarked on Election Day, but your vote will not be counted if the clerk does not receive the ballot by 5PM the next day. The safest thing to do is to deliver it in person to the county clerk. See the left sidebar at http://harrisvotes.com/VotingInfo/BallotByMail.aspx.

Voter Identification

Be sure to bring the appropriate identification when you go to the polls to vote — whether it’s early or on Election Day.

The voter ID rules have been changing as a result of ongoing litigation. If you have any questions about voter identification, check out the Secretary of State’s website.

To be safe, bring one of the following forms of identification with you, if you have them, when you vote:

Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
Texas license to carry a handgun issued by DPS
United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
United States passport
